This week, we are continuing to power through our last module of 3rd grade! Module 7 is geometry and measurement word problems. We will be preparing for our mid-module assessment on Wednesday (5/29) and Thursday (5/30). Study guides went home in Friday folders and your child will have homework both Tuesday and Wednesday night to prepare. No homework passes will be allowed.
Need help with homework? Search "Eureka Math, third grade, module 7 lesson ___" on YouTube :) Each day in class, we will be completing a portion (or all) of the problem set. Students are responsible for completing the corresponding homework pages for our daily lesson on Monday through Thursday each week. Please make sure your child is putting their workbook right back in their backpack after completing their homework. You will find all homework assignments written in their planner and on our class webpage.
This week, we will continue our 4th quarter skills, focusing on literary texts! Our essential question of the quarter is "How do people inspire change in others?" We are going to continue our novel study with Because of Winn-Dixie and book clubs! Students will be assigned chapters of reading along with a job to complete on the chapters. Then, students report to their book club to share their job's findings :) Such a fun way to end the year!
This week, we will continue with our final unit of the year- economics! We will be learning about the role of banks in a community, the basics of borrowing and lending money for goods and services, and what it means to be an entrepreneur.
We are going to continue our inquiry-based research project! Students will research their problem/question this week, compiling evidence to support their question.
