Hickory Creek Middle School Character Counts
CHARACTER COUNTS!
is the most widely used character education program in the nation, and
we are looking forward to continuing the program here at Hickory Creek
during the 2009-2010 school year. CHARACTER COUNTS! teaches students
about six different Pillars of Character. They include Trustworthiness,
Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Fairness and Citizenship. The program
focuses on helping students identify what each pillar means and examples
of ways to make that pillar a part of their daily behavior.
CHARACTER COUNTS! activities can occur during academic classes, Advisory
classes, and building level activities. This year we embraced the theme
of Character in Action; Watch Us Fly" in which we are working with a
variety of organizations again this year.
