3rd grade students will participate in listening and playing activities to continue learning about dynamics and the terms pianissimo, piano, mezzo piano, mezzo forte, forte, and fortissimo.

4th grade students will continue to review rhythmic notation and will practice their ostinato in small groups using quarter notes, quarter rests, and barred eighth notes. Students will play the unpitched percussion instrument that their group chose. They will also review tempo and play their ostinato at a variety of different tempos.

5th grade students will continue reviewing rhythmic notation. They will focus on barred 16th notes and triplets. They will participate in group and individual playing activities.
