On this web page you will find a weekly schedule and a general outline for instruction. Please keep in mind that instruction may vary or change throughout the week based on the studentsí needs and understanding. If you have any questions, concerns, or celebrations to share, please contact me at any time.

General Information:

Your child is invited to complete the Read To Succeed Reading Log by February 1st. They will receive a ticket to Great America if they list the books they have read and the time meets or exceeds 6 hours. Your child has read their biography book and might already have the time to earn the ticket!

E.L.A. :

1. We are learning to ask and answer questions referring explicitly to the text. We are reading biographies.

2. We are learning about character traits, feelings, and motivations and how they can affect the outcome of a story.

3. We are learning to distinguish our own point of view from that of the narrator or characters in a story.

4. The children can identify and use nonfiction text features to understand various text.

5. The children are learning to identify the main idea and key details.

6. Writer's Workshop will focus on informational writing.

7. We will be reading, writing, and sorting words and patterns in Words Their Way.

Math:

1. We are learning from Eureka Module 4. This unit of study is about finding area and multiplication.
