Welcome to the new school year! I am excited to be your child's teacher and excited to get to know your son or daughter. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of learning and growing together!
This week's I CAN statements:
Reading: I CAN retell a story. I CAN identify feeling words or phrases. I CAN determine the central message of a story.

Parents: Governor Pat Quinn signed Erin's Law in January of 2013, which requires all schools in the state of Illinois to provide age appropriate sexual abuse and assault awareness and prevention education programs for their students in grades Pre-K through 12. In response to this legislation, Frankfort School District 157-C will be adding, "Child Lures Prevention: Think First and Stay Safe", curriculum for the school year. The curriculum is available in the school office for parents to preview. The building social workers will be presenting this information to our students during the weeks of November 7th and November14th. A second presentation will follow in January during the weeks of January 9th and January 16th.
