Message from our Librarian;
Parents,
I am looking for volunteers in the Library to assist with re-shelving/organizing books. Additionally, during 'Check In' times, volunteers may be asked to help some students in find where their books should be placed on the shelves.

Any amount of time would be greatly appreciated!

If interested, parents/guardians can contact me at ncanny@fsd157c.org.

Thank you!
Nicole Canny, Librarian

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Beginning the week of August 27th students in my class will participate in benchmark screenings provided by Fast Bridge Learning. Fast Bridge is District 157-Cís universal screening instrument. This assessment will be administered in the fall, winter and spring to help teachers determine which students are likely to meet the end of the year learning goals, which students may require intervention and help to determine advanced and honors placements for the following school year. This computer based assessment measures performance in reading and math. Individual fall results will be sent home at the beginning of October after all students have been tested. I look forward to working with your child this school year.

Sincerely,
Ms. DeAngelis

ERIN"S LAW PRESENTATIONS
Governor Pat Quinn signed Erin's Law in January of 2013, which requires all schools in the state of Illinois to provide age appropriate sexual abuse and assault awareness and prevention education programs for their students in grades Pre-K through 12. In response to this legislation, Frankfort School District 157-C will be presenting, "Child Lures Prevention: Think First and Stay Safe", curriculum for the 2017-2018 school year. Our presentations will occur in November and January.†
