In Partnership with the Frankfort Police Department, the DARE Program, instructed by Officer Riff, will continue through March .

STEAM Night at Chelsea
Join the Chelsea staff and FSP on March 6th from 5:30-7 for an exciting night of STEAM activities. See the flyer in my downloads section for all the details. Hope to see you there!

February 21st- Celebrate President's day- Wear red, white and/or blue
February 28th- Favorite word day-Wear your favorite shirt or hoodie with words on it.
March 7th-Camo day- Wear something camouflage colored
March 14th- St. Patrick's day- Wear something green or gold
March 21st- Baseball day- Wear your favorite baseball apparel

Don't forget every Friday is Chelsea Spirit day and wear you Chelsea colors!

SIX FLAGS READ TO SUCCEED
Your child has the opportunity to once again participate in the annual Six Flags Read to Succeed Six Hour Reading Club.
Forms were sent home November 7. Please return the completed reading log by February 22, 2019.

SAVE THE DATE-THURSDAY, MARCH 14, 2019
The annual "Around the World" event at Hickory Creek Middle School will be held on Thursday, March 14th. We are looking forward for families to share your ethnic background with us! We want to teach our students and community about our cultural family traditions while we celebrate differences and similarities. More information to come at a later date. This is an FSP sponsored event.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERS
Each month students will receive a Scholastic Book Club flyer. If you are interested in ordering books, please use our class code to access our class online. Our class code is Q8JND. I love the look on students' faces in the morning when they come to school and see their brand new books on their desks!! If you have any questions or difficulties, please don't hesitate to contact me.

NO PEANUT PRODUCTS FOR SNACK
Due to several students on our team with peanut/nut allergies, we are insisting that students not bring any snack that has peanut products. Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation.

ELA: We begin Quarter 3 with the novel "Walk Two Moons" by Sharon Creech. We will be focusing on the following essential questions: What is the value of adapting? What role does adversity play in shaping life's journey?
