Chelsea third graders recently participated in the annual biography wax museum. Each student selected a famous person and read the “Who Is/Was” series book about that person. Students took the information they learned to create a two-minute speech about the person they researched and then presented it to family and their peers.

Congratulations to the 6th grade boys basketball team and Coach Ziemba! They finished second place at the DPVC tournament over the weekend. The future looks bright for boys basketball at HCMS! Thank you to Coach Ziemba and special shout out to Taylor Boyle for organizing and hosting a great tournament.

It’s not too late to donate hats, gloves, and mittens to the Mitten Tree at Grand Prairie! We look forward to donating all of the items to our community served by the Frankfort Food Pantry. Donations are due by Friday, December 22.

The 7th grade girls basketball team took third at the IESA State tournament! Congratulations on a fantastic season!

Hickory Creek students donated over $11,000 to Honor Flight Chicago through popsicle sales and money wars. Thank you for your generosity!

Chelsea students and staff collected canned goods for the Frankfort Food Pantry! We are so grateful for all of the donations- the 1,000+ items will help so many families in need this holiday season.

Grand Prairie students and staff will be collecting items for packages for current servicemen and women. Collections will start on November 1 and will end on November 10. Donations can be sent to school with your child or dropped off at the main office. These boxes will arrive in time for the holidays. Let’s come together and see how many packages we can send this holiday season!

Chelsea students were treated to an assembly by Jim “Basketball” Jones. He showed off some cool basketball tricks and talked to the students about the power of their choices and the importance of being kind.
