Welcome to 7th grade Math!!  It has been a very busy start to the school year.... but we are thrilled to be back at "The Creek"!.  

 

I am your child's 7th grade Math teacher.  I have been teaching here at Hickory Creek for 13 years, and this year marks my 22nd year of teaching.  I look forward to getting to know your child, and in return they will get to know me.  For instance, I am married and have 3 kids of my own, I enjoy sports (especially watching my kids compete on their teams) and I am a self-proclaimed "foodie".  I love both cooking and eating!  I would best describe my teaching style as "keeping it fun while getting the job done!"  

 

 

We use a variety of instructional skills and strategies to help the students learn the skills required in each unit.  Students complete a graphic organizer for each unit and I also post the same graphic organizer in our class notebook.  This is a good tool for organizing vocabulary, key ideas, and examples that will assist with learning and independent practice.  Students are also assigned supplemental IXL skill lessons to reinforce the learning we do in class.

Students can find all class work on Microsoft Teams. The class agenda is posted daily and all activities and assignments are listed.

 

Most handouts and class tasks are available in the Class Notebook, also accessible through Microsoft Teams.  The textbook pages for the current Module are also available in the Class Notebook.
