2022-23 - What a Year It's Going Be!
This year marks my 20th year at HCMS and what a journey it has been! I hold a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. My primary focus has been ELA for the past few years, however I've also taught science and social studies and equally enjoyed the subject areas. In addition to teaching, I am a Drama/Speech coach, a Scholastic Bowl advisor, coordinator for out "Letters to Santa" program, and serve on the Charitable Giving Committee. I've also served on various committees throughout the years creating materials for ELA curriculum and instruction, The
When I'm not attending or involved with one of the many events at HCMS, our growing family, pets, and life's adventures, assure there's never a dull moment.
Make 2022-23 a year to remember!
There's always something happening at "The Creek," and we encourage our students to become involved, explore different clubs, sports, intramurals, and discover their potential.

ELA & Honors ELA
In an effort to build passionate readers, we continue to build classroom libraries in which students have choice over the texts they select. There may be books in libraries that are identified by publishers as “young adult” due to the fact that our students are young adults. With that being said, “young adult” books are considered appropriate for up to 18 years of age. Please discuss with your children any parameters that you would like for them to follow as they choose texts from our classrooms.
