Hello 8th Grade Tigers!

Welcome to my teacher page! If you are in my co-taught Math class with Mrs. Phillips, please view her webpage for the most up to date information. If you are a student in my specialized instruction math class, this is the best place to find information about our class.

CURRICULUM:

We will be utilizing the Utah Math Curriculum during your 8th grade year. If needed, all unit workbooks can be accessed online by clicking the following link: 8th Student Materials | The Utah Middle School Math Project. The online learning websites we will be utilizing, as supplemental practices, are: IXL, Delta Math, Desmos, Edulastic, and Xtra Math. Students must access all on-line learning websites through Classlink. 

HOMEWORK:

Homework is assigned Monday- Thursday on a weekly basis. Homework assignments will be determined based on the student and their individual needs. When homework is not assigned, I encourage students to continue to sharpen their math skills by logging into IXL to practice previously learned skills. Homework will be posted on both, the Remind App and on our Microsoft Teams page. Students will also be utilizing their assignment notebooks to record homework daily. 

COMMUNICATION:

I utilize the Remind App as a communication tool to parents and students. Homework and other necessary reminders will be communicated through Remind daily.
