End of the 1st Quarter Review
It has been an amazing first quarter for my Math, Science and Social Studies classes. The ideas and conversations on our topics have been so detailed and exciting. Our routines and schedules are going well and we are cruising through our topics. A few things we need to work on include
1. Make sure we remember to write down homework, bring it home and back to school again. We have been getting a lazy over the last few weeks.
2. We also need to listen to understand and not to respond. Too many directions are given over and over. I know we can do better!
Homework Reminders
Laptops come home on Wednesdays. Please return on Thursday morning!
Don't forget to check the math homework each night and sign the assignment notebook. (signature Morning block only) The class has been talking too much and with too much volume. Listening with quiet mouths is a must.
Classroom Allergies
We are a Peanut Aware classroom this year so please consider peanut / nut alternatives for individual student lunches and snacks.
Classroom Behavior
Overall the class is chatting to much. Listening to understand not to reply is our goal.
Math
We are with the next section of Modue 3 which is moving on to division.
Please keep up with homework.
Please check homework each night and sign the assignment notebook.
We will have homework Monday through Thursday each week.
Social Studies
Weare now discussing the SOUTH. The students made new states and capitals flash cards for review. Every region we will have a state placement test and a state capital test.
Science
We are on our Science break and will focus on The South Region for Social Studies. disasters.
