Mrs. Wojnarowski's Science Class
Let me Introduce Myself
I am Cheryl Wojnarowski (aka: Mrs. Wojo) and I’d like to welcome you to my 17th year here at Hickory Creek. Over the years I have taught Science and ELA in both 7th & 8th grades. I have a love for everything nature and you can find me outside hiking, walking, fishing, boating, floating and just about anything I can do during the warmer months. In winters I love to DIY something I found on Pinterest or cozy up by a fire with a book or good Netflix series.
My Mission
I will teach the Standards to prepare you for High School.
We will use the NGSS framework and encouraging you to question HOW & learn WHY something happens in our world.
We will utilize many activities that you can manipulate electronically or hands on with simple materials.
We will use various platforms and visuals to support the direction of questioning and understanding.
I will provide feedback (via grades or re-teaching strategies) for concepts that will be assessed.
I will differentiate work for those who learn at different rate.
We will build a level of trust and encourage you to advocate for yourself when you need something from me.
I am always available for you to contact (during office hours) for additional support as needed.
Expectations in the Classroom
(I know routines take some time to establish & we will work on this together!)
All daily lesson plans will be posted on your Microsoft TEAMS. That way you are able to access work if you miss any period of time or need to review.
Work will be submitted via TEAMS assignment or ONE NOTE as assigned and CHECKED for understanding.
Group and partner activities will be the foundation of exploring our unit phenomenon!
LET'S FOCUS ON THE LEARNING OF OUR WORLD THROUGH THE EYES OF SCIENCE!
